• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in engineering or a related field.
• Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English.

• Master's degree, or equivalent, in engineering or a related field.
• Teaching experience at a community college.
• Experience teaching to associate degree level students.
• Ability to work effectively with populations representing diverse ages, backgrounds, life experiences, and abilities.

Work is typically performed in a classroom and laboratory, requiring standing and/or sitting for extended periods. Instructors typically use a personal computer.

The schedule follows an eleven‑week quarterly cycle. Salary depends on contract load and mode of instruction; a standard five‑credit lecture class is approximately $6,387.94 at Step A. Special assignments are $45 per hour, and meeting stipends are per the CBA rate, starting at $55 for meetings lasting 30 minutes to 2 hours.
