PositionInformation
Under supervision of the Health Services Manager and in collaboration with Certificated School Nurses, provides direct and indirect student care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, professional standards of care, state regulation and standards. Works as a member of building and district health services team to coordinate and carry out health care services.
Shift Details6.25 hours per day; 183 day calendar;
Position begins Sept. 1, 2026

Education and Experience- Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent
- In addition, a para educator must meet one of the following:
- Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university
- Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university
- Completed an apprenticeship as a para educator, in a program registered with the Washington State Apprenticeship and Training Council
- Received a passing score on one of the following PESB approved assessments:
- ETS Para Pro Assessment
- Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment
- Master Teacher Inc. Para educator Online Training Program
- Graduation from an accredited school of licensed practical nursing.
- A minimum one year of related work experience.
- Current Washington State LPN license
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- May be required to travel to and from various District sites to provide services using ones' own vehicle with mileage reimbursement.
- * Successful candidates are required to complete mandatory, in-person training/orientation prior to their official start date.
The Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) provides access to health care services. Our benefits are provided to eligible positions through SEBB (School Employees Benefits Board). Eligibility for SEBB state health insurance coverage is determined by working 630 hours during the school year.
