The Program Specialist 3 in the Testing and Assessment Services office (TAS) serves potential, new, and current students at Edmonds College by directing, executing, and advising on comprehensive testing operations. Reporting directly to the Associate Dean/Assistant Registrar of Admissions and Enrollment Services.
This position serves as the primary contact and Test Administrator for the College Board, Pearson Vue, and regional placement platforms. Responsibilities include interpreting and implementing institutional policies, evaluating and modifying departmental programs, managing the statewide placement reciprocity process, providing alternate placements, and maintaining the TAS webpages. Additionally, the position provides technical assistance, data reporting, and training to staff and faculty on testing procedures and multiple measures
¿ including Accuplacer/LOEP, DSP, WaMap, GED, MCAT, and Math placements
¿ while resolving general to complex customer inquiries across multiple communication channels to ensure high-quality service and institutional alignment.
This is a classified position reporting to the Associate Dean/Assistant Registrar - Admissions & Enrollment Services.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Administer and proctor placement tests and specialized examinations including Accuplacer, LOEP, DSP, GED, MCAT, TEAS, Chemistry tests, and institutional makeup or correspondence exams.
- Evaluate and interpret placement using multiple measures processes, including checking transcripts and test scores from high schools, colleges, and universities to place students accurately.
- Enter and track test data and final course placements in ctcLink, shared Google spreadsheets, and operational tracking logs in a timely manner to facilitate student registration.
- Monitor, maintain, and enforce all program policies, procedures, and the statewide placement reciprocity process for Edmonds College.
- Keep current on modern testing trends, evaluate workflows, and recommend technologically enhanced services responsive to a rapidly changing campus environment.
- Resolve complex placement discrepancies professionally by conducting research and providing pertinent info to faculty and department heads.
- Act as the primary College Board / Pearson Vue Test Administrator and campus liaison for all third-party correspondence testing.
- Consult, recommend, train, and program new cut-off scores for ACCUPLACER/LOEP, Directed Self-Placement (DSP), and specific math/English pathways in coordination with applicable Academic departments.
- Keep current training/technical manuals and establish prerequisite codes are accurate in ctcLink in collaboration with instructions and Data Specialist in Enrollment Services.
- Provide specialized training and technical guidance to Academic Advisors, faculty, Enrollment Services, Running Start, and Pre-College divisions.
- Communicate Testing Center procedures and guidelines to other departments as necessary.
- Coordinate Academic Advising and Credentials departments to facilitate alternate placements for English and Math.
- Attend and actively represent Testing and Assessment Services on various campus committees and councils as necessary.
- Extract, prepare, and deliver specialized statistical reports so operational data can be analyzed to identify programmatic needs, improvements, and funding adjustments.
- Coordinate with the supervisor to identify and order necessary office and testing supplies.
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned by the supervisor.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two years of direct operational experience working within a higher education environment OR equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency with higher education Student Management Systems (such as ctcLink, People Soft, or similar systems).
