A mechanical contractor in Seattle, WA is currently hiring for a Mechanical Project Manager. This position will be fully onsite supporting large‑scale healthcare construction projects. Candidates must have direct experience managing mechanical/MEP scope on projects valued at $20M+, along with strong financial management, change order experience, and HVAC/plumbing knowledge.

Pay - (Depending on years of experience, tenure, software proficiency, relevant job titles...etc.)

Location - Seattle, WA (Onsite)

Schedule - Standard Monday-Friday (40 hours per week)

(Responsibilities)

+ Take full ownership of estimates, project scoping, proposals, project safety, and overall project execution.

+ Manage multiple specialized, fast‑track mechanical construction projects.

+ Oversee mechanical systems costing, value analysis, and project budgeting.

+ Work closely with internal engineering, fabrication, and manufacturing teams to maintain a cohesive project delivery strategy.

+ Attend coordination meetings and model review sessions as needed.

+ Partner with business development teams to help secure new projects.

+ Develop and maintain strong relationships with project owners and clients.

+ Review and validate project estimates from direct reports; build detailed project budgets.

+ Estimate, price, and negotiate change orders.

+ Track, forecast, and report labor hours and material costs.

+ Manage buyout of major equipment and subcontractors.

+ Expedite and monitor delivery of major equipment and materials.

+ Maintain thorough understanding of project scope, contract requirements, and general conditions.

+ Maintain project documentation in accordance with company standards and contract obligations.

+ Coordinate closely with field supervision to plan, schedule, and execute project work.

+ Review contract drawings, detail drawings, and technical specifications.

+ Prepare fabrication shop work packages (takeoffs, procurement, fabrication labor budgets).

+ Ensure full compliance with on‑site safety programs.

+ Communicate clearly and proactively with all internal and external stakeholders.

+ Train, mentor, and oversee Project Engineers and Project Coordinators.

+ Uphold company values and maintain professional conduct.

(Qualification Requirements)

+ 3+ years as a Project Manager overseeing MEP scope on healthcare projects.

+ Experience managing mechanical construction projects valued at $20M+.

+ Direct experience managing billings, project financials, and forecasting.

+ Strong experience in mechanical construction, including HVAC and plumbing knowledge.

+ Minimum of 5 years as a Mechanical Project Manager.

+ Degree desired:
Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.

+ Minimum of 3 years' experience managing PMs and PEs.

+ Proficient with RFIs, change orders, and construction documentation processes.

+ (Non‑Negotiable)

Experience with mechanical construction in healthcare environments.

+ Job‑hoppy tenure.

+ No mechanical construction experience.

+ No experience with $20M+ project scopes.

+ No healthcare project experience.

+ Less than 5 years of Mechanical PM experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $87000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
