Job Summary
Crane Aerospace and Electronics is looking for an Electrical Engineer III to join our Lynnwood, WA facility. The role requires minimal supervision and focuses on researching, planning, designing, and developing aerospace and electronics products. Responsibilities include new product designs, modernization and upgrades, cost, quality and customer requirement analyses, and applying computer-assisted engineering tools to deliver economical solutions.
Essential Functions- Work effectively with all functional groups to meet product performance and cost targets.
- Incorporate quality and manufacturability into the design.
- Define, understand and comply with company and regulatory guidelines to ensure a safe operating environment.
- Support continuous process improvement activities such as Kaizen and 5S practices.
- Demonstrate proficiency in verbal and written English for technical reports, presentations and analyses.
- Decompose and define product and process requirements for product development, sustaining and R&D.
- Plan, estimate, prioritize and manage work activities to meet project schedules and budgets.
- Utilize problem‑solving processes, documentation, tools and analyses to identify root causes and corrective actions.
- Generate and review product development documentation, including proposals, technical reports and procedures, to satisfy customer and program requirements.
- Support IPT activities in collaboration with technical, operations, quality and business disciplines.
- Perform design and development work of considerable complexity that meets customer specifications for schedule, cost, producibility, quality and reliability.
- Analyze design requirements and objectives; define optimum design criteria and approach for system or component elements.
- Direct functional, acceptance, qualification or development testing on new or modified designs.
- Execute any other task assigned by supervisor or management.
- Position may require access to Controlled Data or Information; only U.S. Persons will be considered.
- As a Department of Defense contractor, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) is required.
- 5 years of relevant work experience.
- BA or BS degree in an engineering discipline;
Master’s or Ph.D. preferred. - Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, analysis and modeling.
- Preferred knowledge of micro‑electronics design, high‑power circuit design, VHDL and ASIC design, hardware/software integration, magnetics design, switching power supply topologies, microprocessor core design and DO‑254/DO‑160 processes.
- Familiarity with EMC and lightning design requirements.
- Standard office environment.
- Use of safety equipment such as eye safety glasses, gowns, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and other required PPE.
- Exposure to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes.
- Requirement to work with small to medium hand and power tools.
- Occasional travel to customer and outside test lab facilities for meetings, design reviews, product testing; up to 10% domestic and international travel.
- Standing approximately 10%; sitting 90% of the time.
- Lifting up to 20 pounds; pushing up to 20 pounds.
- Use of computer, calculator and filing cabinets.

Salary range: $ – $. Other factors such as experience, training and performance may influence compensation. Performance‑based bonus programs may also apply.
