Leidos is seeking a Senior Test and Integration Engineer to lead cutting‑edge testing and validation efforts within the Undersea Systems Division (USD). This role offers the opportunity to drive innovation in testing underwater vehicle systems, maritime sensors, subsea telemetry, and ISR solutions that support critical defense and national security missions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and development of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and protocols to ensure system functionality, reliability, and compliance with requirements.
  • Analyze and communicate complex test results to inform system integration, validation, and verification.
  • Organize and ensure the auditability and retainability of OQE, test procedures, reports, and results.
  • Work closely with systems engineers, software developers, and hardware teams to identify and resolve issues during testing phases.
  • Communicate directly with government customers to coordinate testing.
  • Ensure a “design for testing” focus during system development and integration.
  • Guide and mentor a matrixed team of engineers through testing phases of the product lifecycle.
Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Ocean), Computer Science, Physics, or Math.
  • 8+ years of hands‑on testing, integration, validation, and verification experience with software and integrated electro‑mechanical systems, including developing test procedures.
  • Experience with designing, writing, executing, and evaluating system integration bench tests.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
Preferred Experience
  • Familiarity with UUVs, deployed subsea systems, and underwater payloads.
  • Experience with government operational testing and developmental testing processes.
  • Experience working with DoW Operational Test & Evaluation.
  • Over 10 years of experience leading integration, testing, validation, and verification of complex subsea maritime systems.
