SALARY: $88,536.91 - $89,988.74

DESCRIPTION:
Edmonds College is seeking an Allied Health Education Tenure Track Faculty member for the Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy programs. As an Allied Health Education Faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching and providing leadership in a variety of classroom and skills lab courses in the Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy programs and general courses common to a variety of Allied Health programs.
In this role you will be responsible for developing curriculum, preparing teaching materials, developing and assessing learning outcomes to evaluate student work, assigning grades, maintaining required records, academic advising and consulting with students. Courses taught may include Phlebotomy Technician, EKG Technician, Cardiac Monitor Technician, Medical Assisting Diagnostic Procedures, and Healthcare Provider CPR . Other responsibilities may include participation in: achievement of the college
¿ s mission and goals; upholding the college
¿ s values; the governance of the college via department and division work; committee assignments; required professional development and college in-service activities (including employee orientation and college compliance trainings); and personal and program evaluation, program accreditation activities, and attendance at industry and partnership meetings. The teaching assignment may include a variety of early-morning, late-afternoon, evening, weekend, or online classes. This is a tenure-track position that reports to the Dean of the School of Healthcare and Human Services (HHS).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in a healthcare or human services discipline such as public health, nursing, or health care administration; OR Bachelor's degree in a related field such as management, education, or organizational development with 3 years of clinical experience as a medical assistant or in clinical laboratory or phlebotomy services.
* Two years of relevant industry experience.
* Current State of Washington MA-C OR MA-P license.
* Direct experience with patients or clients seeking healthcare services.
* Evidence of or potential for college-level teaching experience in the areas of medical assisting and phlebotomy, including classroom and hands-on lab skills instruction, or an equivalent combination of work and training experience in the clinical environment.
PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This is not a remote position; the successful candidate will be expected to be on campus. Work is typically performed in a classroom and office and can require standing or sitting for extended periods. Faculty members are required to use computers and other technologies in the work environment.
COMPENSATION:
The salary is based on the current faculty salary schedule; placement is based on education. The current range is $88,536.91 - $89,988.74 annually for a 172-day appointment, with contractually guided increases to $ annually. The college provides an excellent benefits package which includes medical, dental, life insurance, and a retirement plan.
