Mechanic, Maintenance​/Cleaning

Job Summary

Responsible for the maintenance and repair of commercial landscape vehicles and equipment.

Education
:
High school Diploma or GED

Experience
:
One to three years equipment maintenance and repair experience

License or Certification
:
Valid driver license issued by the state where employed, with a record in good standing

• Knowledge of mowing and landscape equipment
• Knowledge of small engine and two cycle engine repair
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner
• Beginner to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office suite, including Excel, Word and Outlook
• Has own tools
• Basic Mathematical Skills
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English
• Ability to communicate in Spanish preferred

• Frequently required to talk, hear, see, sit, stand and walk
• Must be able to see at close vision, distant vision, peripherally, have depth perception and have the ability to adjust focus
• Frequent use of hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools or controls
• Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and seldom lift and/or move up to 50-75 pounds
• Frequently required to reach, bend, twist, stoop, crouch, climb and balance

• Frequently works with mechanical objects and frequently outside in all weather conditions
• Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals
• Frequently exposed to loud noise levels

• Routine maintenance of commercial landscape equipment
• Diagnostic troubleshooting and repair
• Effectively communicate shop needs/concerns with management personnel.
• Abide by company guidelines and safety policies

Pay range: $30.00 - $34.00
