AT3 Staffing is partnering with an industry-leading aerospace and defense manufacturer to identify a Production Supervisor II for their Lynnwood, Washington facility. This organization designs and manufactures highly engineered components and systems that support some of the world's most demanding aerospace, defense, and space applications. Position Summary

The Production Supervisor II is responsible for leading manufacturing operations within areas such as Metal Fabrication, Assembly, and/or Test. This role oversees daily production activities, ensures safety and quality compliance, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and manages resources to meet customer demand while achieving operational and financial objectives.

This leader will play a key role in developing employees, improving manufacturing performance, and partnering cross‑functionally with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams.

Key Responsibilities Manufacturing Leadership & Operations
  • Lead and develop production teams in a manufacturing environment focused on safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
  • Allocate labor and resources to meet production schedules and customer commitments.
  • Manage performance across one or multiple shifts as required.
  • Monitor daily production metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify gaps and drive corrective actions.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure products are manufactured and tested according to established requirements.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing initiatives and mentor team members on continuous improvement tools and methodologies.
  • Utilize structured problem‑solving techniques including 8D, 5 Why Analysis, Cause & Effect Diagrams, and Fishbone Analysis.
  • Drive improvements in productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
  • Support implementation of standard work, 5S programs, material replenishment systems, and other operational excellence initiatives.
Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to all quality standards, manufacturing procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate timely identification and resolution of non‑conforming material issues.
  • Support root cause investigations and corrective action implementation.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and promote a strong safety culture.
Team Development
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and mentor employees to support both individual and organizational growth.
  • Conduct performance management activities and succession planning efforts.
  • Build a high‑performing team capable of meeting evolving business needs.
  • Foster employee engagement, accountability, and continuous learning.
Business & Financial Support
  • Assist management with resource planning, labor forecasting, overtime planning, and budget development.
  • Support monthly operational reporting and performance reviews.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and productivity improvement.
Preferred Additional Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to improve manufacturing processes and work instructions.
  • Partner with Supply Chain teams to optimize inventory management and material flow.
  • Ensure manufacturing equipment complies with maintenance and calibration requirements.
Qualifications Required Experience
  • 3+ years of manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, aerospace, or a related industrial environment.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and cellular manufacturing environments.
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze production data and identify root causes of operational challenges.
