* Job Summary:

* The  
** Material Handler
** is responsible for receiving, moving, storing, counting, tracking, issuing, and shipping a variety of production parts, materials and supplies.  The production floor relies on this position to provide the right parts and materials at the right time in order to meet on-time-delivery goals.

** 1st shift hours are 5am-1:30pm*

* Essential Functions:

*
* + Maintain accurate inventory control by following established work instructions and processes.

+ Move materials to and from receiving, production areas and shipping by hand, using sorting bins and carts, or other equipment

+ Unpack, receive, and stock materials into storeroom location(s)

+ Read work orders to determine material and equipment needs for production cell work

+ Issue critical materials to production cells

+ Complete the cycle count process for Value Stream;
Escalate variances in counts, as needed

+ Respond to unplanned issues with internal customers in a timely manner

+ Pack and ship materials in accordance with contract requirements

+ Aid and/or Backfill coworkers, as needed to complete daily tasks

+ Ensure compliance with export compliance rules

+ Any other task assigned by supervisor or management

* Minimum Qualifications:

Experience:

0-1 year of relevant electronics manufacturing experience

+ Knowledge:
Warehousing and materials packing knowledge;
Familiar with lean principles

+ Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrated outstanding manual dexterity;
Demonstrated ability to concentrate on repetitive tasks;
Demonstrated ability to accurately follow detailed work instructions;
Demonstrated ability to understand standard work instructions;
Math skills to perform basic calculations;
Outstanding verbal communication skills;
Proficient with MS Office

Education/Certification:

High School diploma or equivalent
