Tuesday 8:30AM-4:30PM Wednesday 8:30AM-1:00PM Thursday 7:30AM-3:30PM

Aerospace Assembly Trainee

Job Summary:

The Training program consists of 2-days of independent work on a computer and 1-day of hands‑on work in the training lab with a Crane AE trainer, on-site at the Lynnwood, WA location. In the training program, participants will learn job‑specific knowledge and skills that every assembler needs to produce high-quality work. Upon successful completion of the program, you may be offered a contract‑to‑hire role as an Assembler in Training.

Essential Functions:
  • Using computers to complete online IPC training modules
  • Performing fine soldering of small parts, and following work instructions, schematics, and blueprints
  • Listening to feedback from trainers/instructors and able to course correct during the hands‑on portion of the training
  • Set up and operate assigned equipment and machinery
  • Participate in cleaning of area and machinery
  • Practice safe work habits as established by OSHA and Crane policy
Aerospace Assembly Trainee

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience:

    Prior experience in assembly or other work using hand tools
  • Skills:

    Strong verbal and written communication;
    Proficiency in reading comprehension (understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents) of the English language; basic computer skills, e‑mail etc. (understanding of basic software)
  • Abilities:
    Accurate color vision, near vision, and depth perception and other vision capabilities required;
    Manipulative skills, including finger and manual dexterity;
    Adept hand eye coordination and arm‑hand steadiness;
    Ability to work well in a moderate to high paced work environment in a high‑volume setting
  • Education/Certification:

    High School diploma or equivalent
Eligibility Requirement:

This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with small hand tools
  • Experience with assembly and/or mechanical work
  • Ability to navigate a computer on their own
  • Ability to perceive and pre‑determine sequence of operations and installation requirements from sketches and oral instructions
