Beauty Counter Manager - Clinique, Alderwood
Location:
Lynnwood, WA, United States
- Full time Schedule
- Hourly Rate: $17.13 – $22.50
- Commission: 3% on eligible net sales (company commission guidelines apply)

As a Counter Manager in the Macy's Cosmetics Department, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of a cosmetics line, coaching a team of Beauty Advisors, engaging customers, and achieving sales targets.
Responsibilities- Inspire teamwork to reach sales goals and elevate the customer experience
- Create lasting connections with customers who are passionate about cosmetics, beauty, and fragrance
- Review and analyze business performance of daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal, and annual sales results
- Develop and implement business driving events to achieve department goals
- Supervise proper presentation, organization, storing, and replenishment of stock
- Sell merchandise through effective customer service techniques and professional selling skills to reach personal productivity goals
- Meet and exceed your own and the company’s sales goals
- Work well with vendors to get the best business outcomes
- Manage vendor events and promotions, including scheduling and execution
- Maintain compliance with all hygiene standards
- Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities
- Leadership:
Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively, providing guidance, support, and coaching to drive performance and engagement. - Subject Matter Expertise:
Proficiency in vendor line(s) and beauty trends serving as a knowledgeable resource in this area. - Analytical
Skills:
Capability to utilize metrics and analyze detailed reporting to develop action plans for achieving sales goals. - Communication:
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate open and continuous communication within the team and across functional lines. - Interpersonal

Partnership with the Prestige and total Beauty team to drive line sales and deliver the customer experience. - Able to coach and provide feedback to Beauty Advisors to exceed daily goals.

- Able to resolve customer problems in a constructive and forward‑looking way and manage multiple tasks at once in a fast‑paced environment.
- Enthusiasm for the beauty industry and the skills to provide outstanding customer care.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks at once while maintaining superior results.
- Flexible and able to use sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays, with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods (at least two consecutive hours) of standing/walking around the store or department.
- Frequent use of computers and handheld electronic equipment.
- Reaching, including above eye level, crouching, kneeling, stooping and use of color vision.
- Lifting, constant moving, standing, reaching with arms and hands, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladder.
- Lifting and moving items weighing up to 25 lbs.
