Role Overview
As the Senior Store Manager at Mavi’s Alderwood location, you will be more than a retail leader—you will be a brand ambassador, commercial driver, community builder, and talent developer.
This highly visible leadership role is responsible for growing Mavi’s presence as a newer-to-market retail brand, delivering an exceptional customer experience, developing a high-performing leadership team, and ensuring consistent operational excellence.
Working closely with the Area Manager and Director of Retail, you will translate company priorities into effective store-level action. You will use sales and operational insights to identify opportunities, build local partnerships and marketing initiatives, and establish Mavi as a meaningful part of the Alderwood and greater Seattle‑area community.

Key Responsibilities
Business and Team Leadership
- Own the overall performance of the Alderwood store, including sales, profitability, payroll, expenses, conversion, productivity, and customer experience.
- Translate business insights into measurable action plans, regularly assessing progress and adjusting strategies.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of local initiatives and use results to improve future programming.
- Lead, coach, and develop the store’s management team, creating clear expectations and individual development plans.
- Create effective succession and staffing plans that support the store’s current and future needs.
- Lead the team in delivering an exceptional and authentic customer experience.
- Partner with HR, Merchandising, Operations, IT, Marketing, and other support teams to execute company initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Significant retail management experience, preferably within fashion, denim, or lifestyle retail.
- Proven success leading a high‑volume or strategically important retail location.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales, profitability, and KPI goals.
- Experience helping launch, establish, or grow a newer‑to‑market retail brand or location.
- Experience developing local partnerships, marketing initiatives, events, or community‑engagement programs that drive awareness and traffic.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret sales and operational metrics, identify opportunities, and develop effective action plans.
- Proven ability to coach and develop managers, emerging leaders, and high‑performing teams.
- Strong recruitment, performance‑management, succession‑planning, and talent‑retention capabilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of retail operations, including scheduling, payroll, inventory management, loss prevention, and visual merchandising.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to build effective partnerships with senior retail leadership and cross‑functional support teams.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a high degree of initiative, ownership, and accountability.
- Passion for fashion and a genuine interest in denim and the Mavi brand.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
