Area Sales Associate

• Assist in managing and maintaining responsibility for the overall performance of the store
• Travel between stores within the assigned area and support nearby locations
• Provide support in key team lead responsibilities and help drive overall store performance
• Lead all areas of the sales process, including customer service and care
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company policies and procedures
• Maintain Tempur Sealy’s brand standards
• Perform Retail Sales Associate responsibilities at an exceptional level
• Assist the Store Manager in identifying deficiencies and solving store and sales-team problems
• Assist with merchandising, implementing company programs, and other store needs
• Solve sales-team problems and direct larger issues to the Store Manager
• Open and/or close the store and cover management duties when the Store Manager is unavailable
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–3 years of retail experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with high-end luxury and/or custom products
• Strong sales skills in a consultative environment
• Ability to effectively lead, direct, and train others in a store setting
• Knowledge of current best-practice retail methods, procedures, and standards
• Ability to collaborate, lead, and follow
• Flexibility in work schedule based on store hours
• Fluency with current retail software and computer systems
• Ability to stand for lengthy periods
• Ability to occasionally lift items with or without assistance
