Position OverviewThe Experienced Automotive Diagnostic Technician serves as the senior technical authority within our service department. You’ll perform advanced diagnostics, A/C service and repairs, electrical troubleshooting, and complete mechanical repairs—including engine and transmission replacements, timing systems, brake systems, suspension, and steering work
.
This role also involves mentoring less experienced technicians, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and ensuring every repair meets customer satisfaction and company expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform accurate diagnostics, maintenance, and repair on a variety of vehicle makes and models
- Conduct A/C system service, electrical troubleshooting, and advanced drivability testing
- Repair and replace engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and steering components
- Complete all customer-requested work with precision and efficiency
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with shop policies
- Collaborate with service advisors and management to ensure timely and complete job execution
- Mentor and support team members to improve skills and performance
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company quality standards
- Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Rotational Saturdays as scheduled
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional automotive repair facility
- At least 2 current ASE certifications (preferred)
- EPA Section 609 Certification for automotive HVAC required
- Strong proficiency in advanced automotive diagnostics and electrical systems
- Must supply personal hand tools and specialty tools appropriate for the role
- Valid Florida driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must be 18 years or older
- Team-oriented, dependable, and able to follow established procedures
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, including pursuit of ASE Master Certification
