Chemical Wastewater Technician
Our client, a leader in the avionics industry, is seeking a Chemical Wastewater Technician to join their team. As a Chemical Wastewater Technician, you will be part of the operations team supporting critical environmental compliance efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety which will align successfully in the organization.

2nd Shift Chemical Wastewater Technician
Location:
Lynwood, CA
Pay Range: $18- $24 (DOE)
Shift: 2nd Shift 10 am - 6:30 pm
What's the Job?
- Monitor the performance of all equipment, gauges, and charts in the treatment plant and pump stations; replace equipment when necessary.
- Operate, maintain, and repair malfunctions at the wastewater treatment plant.
- Calibrate, clean, and ensure proper function of pH and ORP probes and controllers.
- Collect, segregate, and transport hazardous waste from generation points to the hazardous waste storage area.
- Respond to hazardous waste spills in emergency situations and assist in ensuring environmental compliance throughout the facility.
What's Needed?
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
- 2 plus years of experience in waste treatment and hazardous waste management.
- Ability to operate and maintain various types of equipment and instrumentation.
- Strong organizational skills to compile and maintain lists of hazardous waste needing disposal.
- Commitment to safety and compliance with environmental regulations.
