The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN provides direct patient care within the scope of practice, directs and guides patient/family teaching, and oversees the activities of other nursing personnel while upholding standards of care in a telemetry unit. The RN is directly accountable for the care of assigned patients, communicates with physicians regarding changes in patients’ clinical conditions—including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptomatology—and responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response.
Qualifications- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
- Basic arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
- Previous acute‑care hospital experience preferred.
- Ventilator management experience preferred.
- Medical‑surgical nurse‑board certified (RN‑BC) or similar certification; preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
St. Francis Medical Center offers competitive compensation; the current compensation rate for this role is $61.62. Benefits may vary based on the collective bargaining agreement and/or employment status. The exact starting compensation will be determined at hiring time, considering factors such as skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
