The Clinical Supervisor supports administrative responsibility for the department service functions and works collaboratively with the unit Director and/or Manager. In the absence of the unit Director and/or Manager, the Clinical Supervisor may assume the administrative scope of the assigned unit. Responsibilities include developing and implementing departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with federal and state regulations; preparing, conducting, or overseeing department orientation and training;
communicating with staff, physicians, and administration both written and verbally; supervising, evaluating, and ensuring efficient use of time, equipment, and staff; performing direct patient care as needed within scope; and continually assessing care and directing staff to adjust plans promptly.
- Current and valid California Registered Nurse license
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current Basic Life Support certificate (BLS) upon hire and maintained thereafter
- Minimum of three years of Charge Nurse or equivalent experience preferred
- Depending on specialty, may require:
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintained thereafter
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) upon hire and maintained thereafter
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) upon hire and maintained thereafter
• Current Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter
St. Francis Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, a 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and additional voluntary options. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, encompassing wages, benefits, and other compensation, ranges from $42.37 to $54.60 per hour. Final compensation will be determined at hiring, considering factors such as skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
