LVN needed for patient reliant on G-tube, Trach and Vent in Bellflower.

Licensed Vocational Nurse – LVN

Pay Range: $28‑32 per hour.

G/T/V not required for these cases.

Shift Options
  • Sunday through Thursday, 10 pm–6 am (NOC)
  • Monday through Friday, Noon–8 pm
Position Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides and documents skilled nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, following the care plan and physician orders while maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Essential Job Functions
  • Provide and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
  • Continuously observe and assess patient condition, reporting changes to supervisor or physician.
  • Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses and coordination of care promptly.
  • Participate and update the nursing care plan.
  • Implement appropriate nursing actions based on assessment to achieve expected outcomes.
  • Recognize changes in patient needs and respond with interventions to prevent or reduce risk.
  • Comply with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, accrediting bodies and the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Use infection control measures that protect staff and patient per OSHA standards.
  • Educate patient and family regarding disease process, self‑care techniques and prevention strategies.
  • Maintain knowledge of nursing competencies through educational programs and continuing education.
Qualifications
  • Active, unencumbered CA LVN license.
  • Current CPR certification with hands‑on component.
  • TB skin test –2 step within last 12 months.
  • One year prior hands‑on nursing experience.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Proficient in clinical assessments, documentation and compliance with nursing care policies and procedures.
  • Continuing education as required by state.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current, unrestricted state license as Licensed Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation and compliance with nursing care policies and procedures.
Additional State Specific Requirements
  • South Carolina – One year of pediatrics experience.
  • California – One year of experience working under current nursing license.
  • Louisiana – One year of experience working as a licensed nurse.
  • Continuing education as required by state.
Preferences
  • Six months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting.
  • Home health experience.

Physical Requirements
  • Speak, write, read and understand English.
  • Travel ability.
  • Lift 50 pounds.

  • Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting.
  • Sit and climb stairs.
  • Have visual and hearing acuity.
  • Have strong sense of smell and touch.
  • Respond physically and mentally to emergency situations in the home or during transport.
Environment
  • Function in a variety of environments, possibly exposed to allergens.
  • Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids and infectious diseases.
