- Safely drive the most efficient route to the job site while observing and obeying all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Assist in loading and securing materials on trucks daily using cranes, conveyors, piggybacks, or hand.
- Unload materials from trucks using cranes, conveyors, piggybacks, or hand.
- Serve as the face of Gulfeagle on the job site, leading, instructing, and supervising team members.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain the cleanliness of vehicles.
Responsible for loading or assisting in loading and securing materials on trucks daily. Verify quantities of material for accuracy. Drive the shortest distance to the job site, transport load over required route to proper destination, observing all traffic laws and safety regulations. Unload or assist in unloading materials by using forklift, crane, conveyor, and/or by hand. Secure returning loads as appropriate prior to leaving job site.
RooftopDelivery
Climb up a 40‑foot ladder to assist in delivering materials on a pitch of up to 8–12°. Ensure proper stacking and distribution of materials on the roof.
DOT InspectionInspect truck daily, complete the DOT inspection booklet, and perform miscellaneous service duties such as checking oil, water, gasoline, and tire air. Report any maintenance malfunctions to the Warehouse Manager.
OSH ComplianceMaintain OSHA compliance as it relates to oneself and the company.
Equipment OperationEnsure truck is properly equipped for delivery. Operate motorized equipment according to state laws, safely and properly including trucks, forklifts, and conveyors. Record daily mileage and fuel according to the required reports.
InventoryAssist in taking inventory quarterly or as needed.
MaintenanceMaintain warehouse, yard, and trucks in a proper presentable manner. Perform minor repairs as needed.
SafetyUse appropriate safety devices such as back brace, gloves, and shoes. Handle materials safely and operate vehicles responsibly.
Customer ServiceAid customers with materials, report problems with deliveries, service issues, and other needs as required.
Requirements- Valid state CDL Class A or B Driver’s License with clear MVR and DOT record.
- Must be 21 years old or older.
- Must have a current and valid Medical Certification Card.
- Must have held a CDL driving position the previous year with consecutive driving experience.
- High degree of attention and dexterity in vehicle control.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors under adverse weather conditions.
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 100 pounds of material for extended periods of time.
- Ability to bend, reach, lift, and climb.
- Willingness to climb a 40‑foot ladder (location based).
- Must pass a company‑required drug screening; all employees are subject to random drug testing per company policy.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
- Previous material handling experience.
- Previous forklift experience.
- Certified to operate a crane.
