Truck Driver CDL A Local Home Daily – Ryder System, Inc.

Immediate opening for a Dedicated SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver in Lyons, IL. Join a team that values transparency, safety, and reward.

You will provide local home daily service from a day‑cab tractor‑trailer with a 53” dry van. The role is solo and includes:

• Deliver “SOLO To: IL” – local home daily routing
• Tractor type:
  Day Cab
• Trailer type:
  Dry Van 53’
• Freight:
  No Touch – General Freight
• Weekly pay: $1120 or more, equivalent to $28.00 per hour
• Hours:
  
  40 hrs per week, Monday‑Friday, start at 8:00 AM
• Trucks are 36 months or newer and include 24/7 roadside maintenance

• Boot allowance provided
• Paid personal time off starts day 1 – 80 hrs accrued in first year; unused time is paid out

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Class A verifiable experience: 9 months within last 3 years, OR 2 years within last 5 years, OR 5 years within last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder drug test, background and motor‑vehicle check, DOT physical, and Ryder road test
• Pass a Ryder background check including drug and alcohol verification from the last 3 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions and read, interpret and apply laws, rules and regulations

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal/.state laws, regulations, and agency rules
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by the customer
• Perform other duties as assigned
