Treasurer

The Vecht Region Museum is located in park Goudestein on the Vecht in Maarssen.

The treasurer is responsible for the financial and administrative part of the organization, ensuring accurate figures, reports and overviews. They assess the financial feasibility of the board's plans and translate policy into financial oversight.

• Invoicing and related management
• Management and control of the organization's checking, savings accounts and cash
• Membership administration
• Creditor and debtor administration
• Preparation of financial reports such as annual reports and annual accounts
• Preparation of periodic budgets
• Other financial decision-making and activities

Because of the workload, responsibilities are divided between a first and second treasurer. The current treasurer will mentor the new second treasurer during a transition period, gradually transferring duties. The eventual first treasurer will then become the main treasurer.

• Board meeting every three weeks
• Working hours and frequency to be established by the treasurer
• Post‑training appointment for 4 years with possibility of reappointment

The treasurer will be part of the 7‑member board and work in a business‑like environment while fostering conviviality. The museum has 60 volunteers and organizes annual volunteer events. The atmosphere is caring and warm.
