This is what you will doAs a Steel Fixer / Reinforcement Worker, you will work full-time (40 hours per week) during the day shift in a modern prefab concrete factory in Maarssen. Your main responsibility will be preparing steel reinforcement structures based on technical drawings and reinforcement schedules. You will cut, bend, position, tie, and spot-weld reinforcement steel that will later become part of various prefab concrete elements.
Accuracy is important because dimensions and reinforcement must correspond precisely with the technical specifications. Experienced candidates can work independently, while motivated candidates with less experience can learn the profession under the guidance of experienced colleagues. The salary ranges from €15.70 to €17.26 gross per hour, depending on experience and skills.
- Reading technical drawings and reinforcement schedules
- Cutting, bending, positioning, and tying reinforcement steel
- Spot-welding reinforcement steel and reinforcement structures according to drawings
- Installing spacers and openings according to specifications
- Checking dimensions, quality, and safety of completed reinforcement
- Communicative English (minimum A2/B1 level)
- Experience as a steel fixer/reinforcement worker is preferred, or strong motivation to learn the profession
- Ability to read technical drawings is a strong advantage
- Good physical condition and willingness to perform hands‑on work
- Accuracy, technical insight, and a safety‑conscious attitude
