Volunteer: Youth Writing Workshop Assistant; Kids Published Authors

Leaders of Literature is seeking dedicated volunteers to support a youth writing workshop where students will work together to write and publish a book as a group.

This is a hands‑on opportunity to make a direct impact by helping children build confidence in reading, writing, and self‑expression. Volunteers will assist during sessions by encouraging students, supporting writing activities, and helping create a positive and structured environment.

• Assist students during writing and brainstorming activities
• Encourage creativity and participation
• Support small group or one‑on‑one writing time
• Help maintain a positive and engaging environment

• Individuals who enjoy working with youth
• College students (education, English, communications, etc.)
• Aspiring teachers, writers, or mentors
• Patient, dependable, and positive individuals

No prior teaching experience is required.

• Help students become published authors
• Gain meaningful volunteer/service hours
• Make a direct impact in the community
• Be part of a growing literacy initiative

Orientation will be provided.
