POSITION OVERVIEW

The merchandiser will be an integral member of the field sales team. This individual will promote our brands and product lines by visiting kitchen and bath (K&B) showrooms, fabricators, and design studios in the designated region. With corporate support, they will be responsible for the company's promotional, sales, and marketing efforts in the region.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Brand Development
  • Engage business owners and other key decision makers through friendly, consistent, and professional communications.
  • Qualify and evaluate potential showrooms for UMI displays and marketing efforts.
  • Identify opportunities for CR to improve the consumer experience in the marketplace.
  • Regularly conduct product informational updates, educating retail sales partners and fabricators about CR and our product lines.
  • Obtain a better understanding of business needs and potential sales opportunities during visits and discussions.
  • Customer evaluation and categorization of all customers assigned to your region, using existing sales “intel” reports to collect all information CR requires for better service and improved sales performance.
  • Maintain accurate customer information—addresses, email addresses, and team member details—updating our inventory system.
Display Maintenance and Installation/Deliveries and Marketing Collaterals
  • Ensure all displays are in order, clean, and fully stocked with samples during visits; place orders when samples are missing and keep all marketing collateral—window decals, location cards, catalogs, updated price lists, and other initiatives—in place.
  • The merchandiser role is an outside field position where 80% of the time is spent on the field visiting customers, driving most of the time, and part of the time spent internally at the assigned branch to help customers show slabs, assemble displays, collect samples, and support internal staff under the supervision of the local branch manager or executive team.
  • Merchandisers will be part of the internal staff as needed and will be scheduled to rotate Saturdays.
  • Merchandisers should expect to handle heavy lifting, loading, and unloading of displays up to 50 pounds.
  • Merchandisers will support distribution centers in their region.
REQUIREMENTS / EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Exceptional organization and planning skills.
  • Energetic and confident in engaging with business owners and staff.
  • Very strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience in sales, customer service, or other people-oriented fields is preferred.
  • Ability to occasionally work extended hours on weekends.
  • Must be over 21 years of age and have a good driving record.
