Shipping & Receiving Supervisor
First American Resources is seeking a dependable and detail‑oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our warehouse operations team in Mableton, GA. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate handling, movement, and shipment of materials and finished products throughout our facility.
The ideal candidate is safety‑conscious, organized, team‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities Shipping Duties- Pull, stage, load, and document outbound shipments
- Prepare and print shipping labels and tags
- Ensure products are packaged and staged according to company standards
- Handle finished goods, hazardous materials, and return shipments
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs
- Unload incoming materials including metal coils, paint, supplies, and RMAs
- Record receipts and perform ISO inspection procedures
- Stage materials securely within warehouse storage areas
- Follow all receiving procedures and inventory controls
- Maintain warehouse storage areas in a safe and orderly manner
- Coordinate daily priorities with the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor
- Use forklifts, RF scan guns, computers, and shipping tools/supplies
- Send and receive emails related to shipping and receiving operations
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–3 years of warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience
- Ability to become forklift certified
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Vocational or technical training
- 4–7 years of related experience
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Professional and courteous attitude
- Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Paid break included
- Overtime, weekends, and extended shifts may be required based on business needs
- Occasional 12‑hour shifts may be necessary
This position requires:
- Frequent walking, lifting, stooping, reaching, and repetitive motion
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Working indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions
- Exposure to warehouse equipment, vibration, heat, and moving machinery
Employees must wear:
- Safety glasses with side shields
- Steel‑toe leather work boots/shoes
- Hearing protection
- Cut‑resistant gloves when handling metal
- Company‑issued uniforms after probationary period
