Waste Operative Forklift Recycling & Waste Collection

Working on behalf of my client, I am looking for a Waste Operative with forklift experience to work for one of the UK's leading waste management companies based in Macclesfield.

As a Waste Operative, you will be working as part of a waste collection team, supporting the safe and efficient collection of household and commercial waste. This is a physically active role requiring teamwork, reliability, and a strong work ethic.

Duties will include driving a PGER forklift around a site collecting cages and waste from a white clean area and various other waste, and ad‑hoc collections. Bringing waste back to the waste yard for sorting and bailing. This job is warehouse based and undercover. This role is physically demanding.

PGER forklift licence preferred or a forklift licence.

• Collecting domestic and commercial waste and recycling
• Working as part of a team to complete daily routes efficiently
• Following all health & safety procedures and guidelines
• Maintaining a high standard of work and reliability

• £12.71 per hour (standard rate)
• £14.24 per hour (including holiday pay)

• Monday – Thursday (2pm – 10pm)
• Friday – (11am – 7pm)

• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks
• Comfortable working in outdoor environments
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude
• Forklift experience (beneficial but not essential)
