Experteer Overview In this role you ensure reactive maintenance across sites, coordinate with the contract team, and maintain paperwork in the CAFM system. You will support safe working practices, manage consumables and parts, and liaise with clients and subcontractors to uphold high service standards. The position combines hands-on mechanical expertise with site-relationship duties, contributing to the contract's KPI/SLA delivery. You'll be the face of EQUANS on site, promoting a professional image and safe, tidy plant rooms while enabling efficient, proactive maintenance.
Pay / Benefits
- Complete reactive maintenance tasks across sites and identify improvement opportunities
- Ensure availability of consumables and provide parts lists and ETA for remedial works
- Maintain and close out CAFM records for planned/reactive activities (e.g., Planon)
- Prepare and apply Method Statements and Risk Assessments for tasks
- Develop good working relationships with EQUANS staff, subcontractors, and client representatives
- Maintain Safe and Healthy working environment and ensure PPE usage
- Ensure plant rooms under EQUANS are tidy and compliant
- Undertake lone working when trained and authorized
- Action assigned tasks and monitor progress against KPIs/SLA
- Support Helpdesk with planning, reporting, and out-of-hours calls
- Maintain calibration of test equipment and ensure PTW compliance as required
- Produce Condition/Dilapidation Reports for fabric assets
- Communicate effectively with customers on-site and elevate dangerous situations
- Recognised mechanical qualification (essential)
- Recognised electrical engineering qualification (essential)
- 18th Edition wiring regs (essential)
- AP status within 3 months (desirable)
- First Aid at Work (essential)
- Fault-finding skills in BMS, LTHW/CLTHW systems, pumps, motors, HVAC, LV power systems
- Experience with cooling towers (desirable)
- IPAF Certificate for 3a/3b (desirable)
- Understanding of L8 ACOP and PTW process (desirable)
- Strong health and safety awareness and ability to follow method statements and risk assessments
- Good communication with customers and site teams
- Knowledge of Planon or similar CAFM systems (desirable)
