Job Details
The Director of Finance & Accounting is a key member of the finance leadership team, providing strategic financial guidance, overseeing accounting operations, and supporting business decisions across the organization. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop members of the finance and accounting team.
- Oversee the monthly financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and coordinate the annual audit process.
- Lead annual budgeting efforts and ongoing financial forecasting activities.
- Conduct profitability analyses across customers, products, categories, and business segments.
- Evaluate pricing strategies for new and existing products and services.
- Analyze financial results and communicate risks, opportunities, and recommendations to leadership.
- Develop and maintain financial dashboards and performance metrics for executives, department leaders, and other stakeholders.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve financial performance and support data-driven decision-making.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Strong background in financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and pricing strategy.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with business intelligence tools, such as Power BI, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and leadership levels.
Preferred:
- CPA and/or MBA.
- Experience with multi-entity accounting and foreign currency consolidations.
- Manufacturing industry experience.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
