Warehouse Worker- Warehouse Associate- 2nd shift

Penske Logistics is looking for warehouse associates to become part of an excellent team. Applicants must be willing to work in refrigerated, freezer and non-climate-controlled environments while operating warehouse equipment (electric pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.).

• Pay: $21.27 per hour + $1.00 per hour shift incentive
• Work Schedule:
  
  4 pm start time until completion of work
• Flexibility required to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and extended daily hours

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment (where applicable)
• Transport stored items from warehouse to plant or pickup items from several locations for shipment
• Accurately match numbers & letters and stage and sort products for loading
• Stack cardboard boxes and pallets; move materials within the warehouse
• Comply with all safety requirements and identify damaged products when received
• Package or kit finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling)
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system
• Complete daily logs and communicate with associates from other shifts
• Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs
• Record numbers of units handled and moved using daily production sheets or work tickets
• Assemble product containers and crates using hand tools and precut lumber; pack and re-pack damaged containers
• Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved
• Sort and store perishable goods in refrigerated rooms; fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items; distribute items to production workers or assembly line
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or convey orders to the packing station or shipping department
• Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards
• Use computer to enter records and perform other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

• No prior warehouse experience required but preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
• Ability to work independently, provide customer service, and perform multi‑tasking, organizational, and time management skills
• Flexible with working overtime, weekends, holidays, and non‑climate-controlled conditions
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential
• Willingness to work required schedule and at specific location
• Complete Penske employment application, submit to background investigation (past employment, education, criminal history), and drug screening

• Must be able to see, verbally communicate, and understand instructions, guidelines, and other information
• Must be able to move frequently, stand, walk, sit, use hands to touch, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs (45 kg)
