Position Summary
This position is responsible for performing accounting measures by identifying, compiling, classifying, reporting, interpreting and analyzing financial information. This is a key development role within the Finance team, with high potential to take on additional responsibilities and leadership functions over time. This position will ensure appropriate accounting control procedures as defined below.
This position reports to:
Director of Finance/Controller.

SalaryStarting Salary Range $70,000 - $90,000.
Essential Functions- Commit to FIELD’s Mission Statement, Core Values, and Fieldamentals.
- Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files, reconciling accounts.
- Review General Ledger activity as needed and analyze information to facilitate relevant reporting to Field.
- Prepare, obtain approval and post monthly accruing expense entries as needed.
- Assist with Month End close process in a multi‑branch & multi‑company environment.
- Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights to drive organizational goals.
- Manage cost accounting functions for internal kitting operations.
- Drive process and reporting improvements and standardization efforts.
- Coordinate with third‑party accounting service providers – establishing closing calendars, account coding standardization, and general control requirements.
- Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Provide Ap/AR support and processing entries when workload requires additional support.
- May take on leadership and coaching responsibilities for one or more accounting team members.
- Assist in preparation of year‑end work papers for internal and external audits.
- Maintain Fixed Asset additions and disposals in database in accordance with company policy and ensure Asset and Depreciation tie to General Ledger.
- May have responsibility for international operations and intercompany financial consolidations.
- Lead special projects and initiatives aligned with organizational priorities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years of experience is preferred.
- Polite and professional manner.
- Strong desire to grow and develop and take on additional higher‑level responsibilities over time.
- Ability to recognize problems and take appropriate action.
- Ability to drive results without a great deal of direct supervision.
- Proactively communicate observations to leadership upon initial discovery then work to validate data.
- Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook knowledge.
- Experience and ability to perform complex tasks in Excel and SQL.
- Ability to work in fast‑paced, team‑based environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact with internal and external customers and suppliers.
- Strong time‑management skills and detail orientation.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Highly motivated, well organized.
- Effective presentation skills.
- Experience with state and local sales/use tax and property tax returns & filings is preferred.
- Experience with multi‑company and multi‑country operations is preferred.
- Fixed asset management and reporting experience is preferred.
- Fluent in English and Spanish is desired.
- Willing to travel to Mexico and other U.S. company locations on a quarterly basis.
