Engineering Intern

Field is a family‑owned global supplier of fasteners, "C" commodities, inventory management services, and technical support with locations in Rockford, IL (headquarters), Texas, South Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Mexico, and Taiwan.

Field, a local distribution company in Machesney Park, IL, offers a paid part‑time internship in the Quality/Engineering area. The intern will work with Quality Technicians and Engineers on Pre‑Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) inspections, lab testing, product testing, technical research, design, report writing, light warehouse duties, and continuous improvement projects. The successful candidate will be self‑motivated and able to work with limited supervision.

The internship is designed for students pursuing a two‑year or four‑year technical degree and may lead to ongoing part‑time or full‑time employment.

Hourly pay: $16 per hour

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Polite and professional manner.

• Previous fastener knowledge.
• Experience with blueprints, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
