- Designing and developing mechanical components:
Creating detailed designs for machinery parts, including calculations for stress analysis, material selection, and tolerances. - Analyzing system functionality:
Evaluating the performance of mechanical systems through simulations, prototyping, and testing to identify potential issues and optimize design. - Project management:
Overseeing the implementation of mechanical designs, coordinating with other engineering disciplines, and ensuring project deadlines are met. - Technical documentation:
Creating detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports to communicate design intent and manufacturing requirements. - Research and development:
Exploring new technologies and materials to develop innovative mechanical solutions. - Troubleshooting and maintenance:
Identifying and resolving issues with existing mechanical systems.

for advanced positions, a master's degree and professional engineering license may be required
