1st Shift CNC Operator

Our client, a growing manufacturer in Rockford, is looking for a CNC Operator to join their team. If you have machine operating experience and you are wanting to build a long-term career in machining this is the company for you! This company is ready to train motivated individuals to become CNC Set-Up Technicians. Hours are Mon-Fri 6AM-2:30PM (with a paid lunch), OT potential once hired on.

• Assist in the setup and operation of CNC machines including mills and lathes.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts into machines.
• Learn to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
• Perform basic measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Monitor machine performance and report any issues to supervisors.
• Deburr, clean, and inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy.
• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Support senior machinists with tooling changes and machine adjustments.

• High school diploma or GED required
• Technical school or machining coursework preferred (not required)
• Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read a ruler and understand measurements
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
