A Day in the Life Begin with incoming inspections—validate materials against specifications and document results.
Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings with a GD&T lens to set inspection strategies.
Program and operate Zeiss CMM systems using Calypso software to capture dimensionally accurate measurements.
Operate a Keyence CMM to complement and confirm dimensional results.
Use micrometers, calipers, height gauges, optical tools, and other precision gages to verify features.
Create and compile inspection reports, certificates of conformance, and material certification packets for customers.
Flag and document nonconformances; collaborate with cross-functional teams to contain issues.
Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions that prevent recurrence.
Support internal audits and ensure quality system compliance (e.g., ISO/IATF practices).Monitor production processes and provide real-time feedback to maintain quality standards.
Maintain gage calibration records and ensure inspection equipment is ready and reliable.
Partner with production, engineering, and management to swiftly resolve quality concerns.
Shepherd discrepant parts through scrap/rework processes with complete documentation and verified corrective action.

Employment Type:
Full-Time What You Bring Required High school diploma or GED.
2+ years operating CMMs—specifically Zeiss hardware with Calypso software.
1–3 years in quality inspection or manufacturing.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints/technical drawings.
Hands-on skill with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.).Strong attention to detail and organizational discipline.
Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
Preferred Associate degree in a technical discipline.
Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or comparable quality systems.
Knowledge of SPC, GD&T, and structured root cause methodologies.
Quality credentials such as CQI, CQT, or similar.
Proficiency with CMMs, optical comparators, and related inspection equipment.
Background in gage calibration/maintenance and program oversight.
Applied understanding of SPC techniques.
Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move within a manufacturing environment.
Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
Comfort with repetitive inspection tasks using measurement equipment.
Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: $20 - $24 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
