Fire Alarm Inspector

Responsibilities

Perform inspection, testing, and maintenance/repair of fire alarm systems.

Accurately identify and document deficiencies found during inspections.

Communicate findings with employees, employers, customers, and authorities having jurisdiction written and verbally.

Demonstrate attention to detail and effective customer service skills.

• NICET I certification (must acquire NICET LevelII within one year of hire).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Functional knowledge of wet and dry sprinkler systems.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to stand, climb stairs, and ladders for extended periods.
• Ability to lift a minimum of forty (40) pounds without assistance.
• Excellent customer‑service, written and oral communication, and organizational skills.
• Must pass a pre‑employment security, drug, and background check.

• Knowledge of fire pumps, backflows, and standpipes.

• Hourly rate: $20.00–$28.00, determined by education, experience, and market data.
