Responsibilities- Pick up and deliver automotive parts, adhering to routes and schedules.
- Verify orders before and after delivery and ensure all charges are correct.
- Follow dispatcher instructions, navigate routes, and use route‑planning apps.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials at customer sites.
- Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and handle complaints professionally.
- Maintain a safe driving record and comply with all transportation laws.
- Accept payments, prepare invoices, reconcile financial transactions, and report any discrepancies.
- Perform daily vehicle maintenance checks and notify management of issues.
- Assist with warehouse duties such as stocking and parts pulling as assigned.
- Promote workplace safety and secure cash or other assets.
- Current, valid driver’s license.
- Meet company insurance requirements (drivers 21+).
- Current valid automobile insurance with your name on the policy.
- Ability to lift, move, push, and pull up to 50 pounds (75 pounds for Auto Body Parts Collision Drivers).
Required skills and abilities:
- Manage, track, and account for money transactions; reconcile customer credits and debts.
- Use a tablet or mobile device for navigation, route optimization, and signature capture.
- Exceptional verbal communication; professional and diplomatic with tact.
- Follow directions and work well within a team.
- Flexible schedule with willingness to work overtime.
- Previous delivery driving experience is a plus.
- Meet all stated requirements and qualifications to be eligible to drive for Parts Authority.
