Job Summary:The Warehouse Manager oversees daily warehouse operations, inventory control, and material handling within a manufacturing environment. The Warehouse Manager ensures accurate inventory tracking, timely material delivery to production to avoid downtime, efficient receiving/shipping execution, and full compliance with Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
Supervisory Responsibilities:2-10 Direct Reports
Duties/Responsibilities:- Ensure shipments are completed and fulfilled according to the shipping windows and shipping schedule.
- Ensure all material storage locations are clean, organized, and properly maintained.
- Monitor the cycle count program and resolve identified inventory discrepancies and root causes.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and integrity throughout both the physical and system material flow.
- Complete and monitor the department's established performance metrics (KPIs).
- Ensure shipping process activities are fully executed: material preparation, verification, paperwork, ASN as applicable, and truck load.
- Monitor inventory adjustments.
- Ensure material delivered on time to production.
- Avoid downtime due to the lack of materials.
- Follow established logistics procedures for handling materials and products throughout the facility.
- Report any issues or abnormalities to the immediate supervisor.
- Participate in continuous improvement events and training programs.
- Support the coordination and execution of the physical inventory. (annual or as per defined periodicity)
- Interviews and recommend applicants for hiring as warehouse and receiving associates, ensuring the required training is provided.
- Monitors the unloading of all materials into the receiving department; ensure materials are staged for counting and inspection.
- Ensures receiving reports accurately report material received. Resolves discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports.
- Monitors the flow of paperwork from receiving to inventory control for timely data entry.
- Understand and comply with the organization's Quality and Environmental Management System procedures.
- Understand and apply the company's Quality and Environmental Policy.
- Recognize the importance of assigned responsibilities and how they contribute to achieving quality and environmental objectives, as well as compliance with applicable legal and organizational requirements.
- Understand the significant environmental aspects associated with assigned activities and their corresponding impacts.
- Perform assigned duties in accordance with environmental objectives and established standards.
- Respond appropriately to actual or potential emergency situations.
- Actively contributes to the continuous improvement of the Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
Job Functions:
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Provide support to other departments when required due to workload, staffing shortages, or other business needs, as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
- Support containment activities when required.
- Perform any additional duties that are inherent to the position or necessary to meet business needs.
- Train other employees in areas of expertise and job-related processes as required
- Ability to complete work in a timely and accurate manner.
Bachelor's Degree (preferred) - 3 to 5 years of experience in warehousing, receiving, inventory control or materials management in a manufacturing environment, with 2 years of supervisory experience
Experience:Inventory management, product handling at the warehouse.
Knowledge and skills:- Microsoft Office and other standard computer applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Experience with ERP (IQMS) systems and inventory control.
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings
- English language proficiency to include verbal and written communication
- Training in APICS CPIM, preferably certified
