OB RN; Labor, Deliver, Post Partum Nights

Location: Machias, Maine

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Pay Package: $3,000/week including weekly stipend for travelers DOE

Shift: Nights 7pm-7am

• Independently provides holistic individualized care using the nursing process for patients routinely seen on the OB unit.
• Demonstrates clinical competency nursing judgement teaching skills as well as a commitment to improving the quality of patient care.
• Independently performs general and unity specific clinical skills.
• Performs the functions of a RN in assessing planning implementing and evaluating all assigned patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse.
• Responsible for adhering to all Standards of Nursing Practice implementing and evaluating the age-appropriate care of all patients in the department antepartum intrapartum postpartum nursery and post-op gyn patients for managing supplies and equipment and for promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel of the unity and other hospital departments.
• RN adheres to hospital policies regarding confidentiality sexual harassment advance directives and ADA.
• Maintains a high degree of confidentiality and supports the mission vision and values of the organization.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• One year minimum of Labor and Delivery experience as an RN and willing to work in L&D and Recovery.
• Successfully completes general nursing and unit orientation.
• Effective communication skills written and oral.
• Computer skills.
• Current BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Certificate, STABLE
• Must be vaccinated for Covid-19 per state mandate
• Ability to pass a background investigation
