OB RN (Labor, Delivery, Post Partum)

Machias, ME

Contract | Days | Onsite

• Independently provides holistic, individualized care using the nursing process for patients routinely seen on the OB unit
• Performs the functions of a RN in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating all assigned patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse
• Implements and evaluates age-appropriate care for all patients in the department, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecology patients
• Manages supplies and equipment while promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel across departments
• Demonstrates clinical competency, nursing judgment, and teaching skills with a commitment to improving the quality of patient care
• Adheres to all Standards of Nursing Practice and hospital policies regarding confidentiality, advance directives, and ADA compliance

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of one year of acute care experience as an RN
• Current BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Certificate (NRP), and STABLE certification
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 per state mandate

• Prior experience in a Labor and Delivery or OB/GYN unit setting
• Demonstrated ability to successfully complete general nursing and unit-specific orientation
