Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Operating Room RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Machias, Maine. The assignment is a 40‑hour, 8‑hour day shift, starting ASAP. The travel role offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and support of a dedicated clinical team.

- One year of recent experience as an OR RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Preferred: ACLS (AHA/ARC), PALS (AHA/ARC), or ENPC certifications
- Preferred: OR Nursing Certification (CNOR)
- Other required certifications or licenses may be necessary
- Prepare and maintain a sterile operating room environment.
- Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and intraoperative safety.
- Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Anticipate and provide instruments and supplies to the surgical team.
- Monitor patient vital signs, document changes, and inform the surgeon.
- Handle instruments, supplies, and specimen collection per protocol.
- Document all perioperative patient care accurately.
- Participate in handoff communications pre- and post‑op.
- Clean and restock the operating room between cases.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure policy compliance.
- Follow hospital safety rules, including PPE use and infection prevention.
- Execute other duties within scope of practice as required.
- Critical thinking and service excellence.
- Excellent interpersonal communication.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- PC literacy and following instructions.
- Physical ability to stand, move equipment up to 100 lb, push, pull, and bend.
- Interpersonal skills to work with diverse personnel, present professionalism.
- Technical/motor skills for fine manipulation and equipment use.
- Mental resilience to manage high-pressure, irregular schedules.
