Position: Director of Student-Athlete Success & Support / Academic Advisor - Western Illinois University

Director of Student‑Athlete Success & Support / Academic Advisor

Responsibilities: To assist in enforcing eligibility and certification processes by monitoring and evaluating the academic performance of all student‑athletes at Western Illinois University and to provide appropriate support and programming (academic, athletic, career development, personal development, and service) activities for student‑athletes.

Rank & Salary: 12‑month appointment. $53,000 – $57,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Employees may be eligible for a range of benefits, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, long‑term disability, flexible spending, retirement, and other programs administered through the State of Illinois. Eligibility for the State Universities Retirement System (SURS) is required.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with academic advising and student life‑skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in academic advising at the NCAA Division I level.

For a degree to be considered, it must be conferred from a regionally accredited degree‑granting institution of higher education (or equivalent from an international accrediting body). Unless otherwise stated, the degree must be conferred at the time of appointment.
