RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has responsibility for implementing programs, events and objectives and providing services related to career preparation and employer engagement.
A Career Coordinator Typically:
- Assist student/alumni with career planning, including (but not limited to) resume construction, interviewing skills, job search strategies
- Coordinate outreach career programming and fairs to student groups and academic departments
- Instruct course related to department
- Train and mentor graduate assistants and practicum students
- Assist with marketing and promotions including (but not limited to) social media and outreach materials
- Coordinate events and programming
- Present to students, guest, and alumni
- Assist with development and oversight on online platform
WORK LOCATION:
Macomb campus
APPOINTMENT:
As soon as possible
MONTHLY WAGE: $3,206 - $3,527 (anticipated starting salary $3,206)
This is a restricted position whose continuation beyond December 2027 is contingent upon the renewal of funding support, which is reviewed annually.

Requirements:- One (1) year of experience in student development, event planning, and/or continuing education
Pre-graduation applicants are welcome to apply. In order to be considered for employment, the degree must be conferred at the time of application, unless applicant is in the final semester of a degree program; if so, the degree must be conferred at the time of appointment. For a degree to be considered, it must be conferred from a regionally accredited degree-granting institution of higher education (or equivalent from an international accrediting body).
