APPOINTMENT: August 19, 2027

RESPONSIBILITIES:Assignments will include vocal and instrumental accompanying including Bachelor and Master level students in recitals, juries, convocations, seminars, lessons, and rehearsals. Assignments may also include accompanying vocal ensembles and/or serving as pianist for the Wind Ensemble or Symphony Orchestra, and other duties as assigned.

RANK & SALARY:9-month appointment; $35,568 - $38,765 per year.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Successful experience as a collaborative pianist with a substantial and significant repertoire.
• Excellent sight reading and the ability to quickly learn new repertoire is expected.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Masters or Doctorate in Accompanying or Piano.

For a degree to be considered, it must be conferred from a regionally accredited degree-granting institution of higher education (or equivalent from an international accrediting body). Unless otherwise stated, the degree must be conferred at the time of appointment.

THE DEPARTMENT:The School of Music offers professional undergraduate degrees in Performance, Jazz Studies, Composition, Music Business, Music Education and Music Therapy; and Master of Music degrees in Performance, Composition, Piano Pedagogy, Music Education, Conducting, Musicology, and Jazz Studies. The faculty of 32 full-time members serves approximately 180 undergraduate and graduate majors.
