Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) – COTA, OT, or PTA

$75,000–$100,000/year

Macomb Post Acute Care Center is seeking an experienced Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) to lead our therapy department. We are looking for a rehabilitation professional licensed as a COTA, Occupational Therapist (OT), or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who combines strong clinical knowledge with a collaborative leadership style.

This full-time leadership opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys developing therapy teams, supporting quality resident outcomes, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of a skilled nursing rehabilitation program.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and support the daily operations of the rehabilitation department
  • Oversee therapy scheduling, staffing, workflow, and caseload management
  • Mentor and support PT, OT, SLP, PTA, and COTA team members
  • Monitor clinical documentation, productivity, and quality standards
  • Promote strong communication between therapy, nursing, and facility leadership
  • Support regulatory compliance and department performance
  • Help create a positive environment focused on resident progress and quality care

Qualifications
  • Active Illinois license as a COTA, Occupational Therapist (OT), or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) required
  • Previous skilled nursing or post-acute rehabilitation experience preferred
  • Leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and team-building skills
  • Ability to effectively manage department operations while maintaining a resident-centered approach
