Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) Jobs – 13-Week Rehabilitation Assignment in Macomb, Illinois

Join a collaborative rehabilitation team as a Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) providing skilled patient care across acute inpatient, outpatient, swing-bed, and assisted-living settings in Macomb, Illinois. This generalist travel therapy opportunity offers the chance to treat a broad patient population while working in a welcoming western Illinois community known for its small-town atmosphere, local amenities, and vibrant educational environment.

Travel Occupational Therapy Job Details
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030–$2,190
  • Assignment Type: 13-week travel Occupational Therapist assignment
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Start Date: December 21, 2026
  • End Date: March 22, 2027
  • Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Work Setting: On-site; acute care, outpatient rehabilitation, swing-bed, and assisted living
  • Patient Mix: General medical, neurological, orthopedic, post-operative, upper-extremity, and developmental conditions
  • Documentation System: Cerner
  • Weekend and Holiday Coverage: None currently required
  • Dress Code: Black scrubs or a black collared shirt with khaki pants
Occupational Therapist

Job Requirements
  • Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license or eligibility to practice occupational therapy in Illinois
  • Current BLS certification
  • At least 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience
  • Pediatric experience required; pediatric occupational therapy is provided in the outpatient setting
  • Experience evaluating and treating patients across a broad range of rehabilitation needs
  • Ability to work independently across multiple healthcare settings and patient populations
  • Occupational Therapy degree from an accredited program
Travel Occupational Therapist Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy plans of care
  • Provide skilled assessment, treatment, patient education, and discharge planning
  • Deliver occupational therapy services across acute inpatient, outpatient, swing-bed, and assisted-living environments
  • Treat patients with conditions including CVA, hip fractures, post-operative joint replacement, adhesive capsulitis, tendon injuries, upper-extremity fractures, carpal tunnel, cubital tunnel, developmental delay, autism, sensory issues, and related syndromes
  • Provide pediatric outpatient therapy as clinically indicated
  • Adapt occupational therapy interventions to support functional mobility, activities of daily living, safety, independence, and quality of life
  • Collaborate with patients, families, nursing staff, providers, therapy assistants, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in Cerner and follow applicable clinical and regulatory standards
  • Support a flexible caseload based on patient needs and scheduled clinical services
