Hydraulic Press Brake | Metal Forming | Blueprint Reading | Aerospace Tooling

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Press Brake Operator to support precision metal forming operations in a manufacturing environment focused on quality and safety.

This role is responsible for operating hydraulic press brake equipment to bend, form, straighten, and shape metal plates according to engineering drawings and production specifications. The ideal candidate has experience with fabrication equipment, blueprint reading, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Candidates with experience forming aerospace tooling facesheets are highly preferred, though training is available for motivated individuals looking to develop their skills.

What You'll Do

Press Brake Operation & Setup
  • Operate hydraulic press brake equipment to manufacture precision weldments and formed components
  • Bend, shape, straighten, taper, and form metal plates to required specifications
  • Prepare, set up, and adjust press brake equipment according to:
    • product plans
    • engineering drawings
    • production schedules
  • Utilize cut forming templates and model data during forming operations
Material Handling & Production Support
  • Measure and align materials prior to forming operations
  • Safely move raw materials and finished products using:
    • overhead cranes
    • hi-lo/forklift equipment
  • Maintain production flow and communicate shift-to-shift priorities and concerns
Inspection & Quality
  • Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with:
    • customer specifications
    • engineering drawings
    • quality standards
  • Verify dimensions and overall part quality throughout the forming process
Maintenance & Safety
  • Perform routine safety inspections and basic maintenance on press brake equipment
  • Maintain safe operations by following all company safety procedures and regulations
  • Complete required production documentation and timesheets accurately
Qualifications

Required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to:
    • read and interpret blueprints
    • follow project plans and work instructions
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Ability to safely operate or learn hydraulic press brake controls
  • Ability to work independently and maintain attention to detail
  • Ability to pass:
    • background check
    • drug screening in compliance with applicable laws
Preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of hydraulic press brake operating experience
  • Experience forming aerospace tooling facesheets or precision fabricated components
  • Experience using:
    • overhead cranes
    • forklifts/hi-lo equipment
  • Background in metal fabrication or aerospace manufacturing
