Hours:
36 hours per week - Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Charting System: Cerner
- Location: Macomb, IL 61455
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
- Current RN licensure
- 3+ years of nursing experience preferred; 3-5 years of RN experience ideal
- Med/Surg nursing experience or recent acute care experience strongly preferred
- BLS and PALS certifications required
- Strong assessment skills, critical thinking, and telemetry interpretation abilities
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and reading rhythm strips independently
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, high-turnover hospital environment
- Comfort with thorough documentation, prioritization, and efficient time management
- Provide compassionate nursing care to a diverse medical-surgical patient population
- Care for patients with respiratory conditions, CHF, cellulitis, and other acute medical diagnoses
- Support post-op surgical patients recovering from colon resections, orthopedic procedures, and related surgeries
- Monitor patients on telemetry and interpret rhythm strips independently
- Collaborate with the charge nurse, clinical care coordinator, CNAs, and interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain accurate, timely charting in Cerner to support safe, quality patient care
- Assist with outpatient infusions when needed
- Adapt to a dynamic Med/Surg unit with frequent admissions, discharges, and changing patient needs
