Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, establishing retailer relationships while being the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed.
Salary and Schedule Details- Your starting hourly pay rate will be $15.00 - $17.00 depending on your skills and experience.
- Eligible Employees receive annual pay increases.
- This is a Part‑Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours for this position are between 4 and 6 hours per week.
- Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
- Day‑to‑day engagement:
Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. You will use technology to communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete required merchandising surveys. Interaction with store employees, management, and customers must be professional and courteous. - Holiday support:
Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you may be required to work additional days and extended hours, including on the holiday itself. - Department resets:
You may be part of a team responsible for installing and resetting Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and other remodel assignments often announced two weeks in advance; these may involve evenings or weekends. - Team support:
As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you are part of a network of merchandisers who often support other team members as needed within their territories.
This is a physically demanding job that requires energy and urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms, repeatedly pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds, and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You must kneel, squat, walk, stand, and sometimes climb stairs and step ladders.
Basic Qualifications- At least 18 years of age.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
- Access to a Wi‑Fi network and the Internet.
- Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores on schedule.
