Probation Technician

Overview

The Fannin County Board of Commissioners has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Probation Technician. The purpose of this position is to perform technical duties in support of the management of probationer cases.

• Assist in the entry of daily probationer reports.
• Maintain probationer files and records; log community service hours, etc.
• Monitor probationer files to ensure completion of court mandated requirements.
• Close completed cases.
• Conduct drug screens.
• Answer phones and greet visitors; provide information and assistance; take messages and make appointments; refer to appropriate personnel.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One (1) to (2) years of office administration or responsible administrative experience preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license required.

Starting rate of pay for this position is $15.00 - $18.24 per hour.
